In Gladiator Manager you command a team of fantasy gladiators to fight for your glory. Your mission is to lead your team from the lowly fourth division to the Championship.
Gladiator Manager is a mix of strategy, role-playing and manager games. There can be one to four players in same game (with one computer) and each player manages a gladiator team. These teams compete in the league consisting four divisions, all teams aiming to win the Championship.
Hire gladiators and equip them with weapons, armours and spells. Employ Wizards, Barbarians and Minotaurs, with different strengths and weaknesses. Gladiators have a set of weapon and magic skills that improve by experience.

The battles are held in different arenas and they are shown using 2D-graphics. You give orders to your gladiators as they move on the battlefield, use their melee and missile weapons and cast spells. The rules of the battle are simple: the team that has the last man (or woman, or beast) standing is the winner of the match.
